Human genetics for target discovery
RGC's work rests on a simple idea: when people carry a variant that protects them from disease, the gene it hits is a strong candidate for a medicine. My part is the statistics in between: association testing across large exome and proteomics cohorts, fine-mapping and colocalization to resolve signals to causal genes, and phenome-wide analyses to see what else a target touches. Those results feed reproducible pipelines and models that help decide which targets to pursue, across therapeutic areas.
